Earthwise installs strictly plug-in systems meaning the transformer uses a factory power cord that plugs into an outdoor outlet and does not involve modifying the building’s existing electrical wiring. If you do not have an outdoor outlet with a weather safety cover please contact a licensed electrician to have one installed.
Florida Statute 489.503 (24) explains the state electrical licensing exemptions. Scroll to the bottom to #24 to read that the licensing exemption includes “A person who installs low-voltage lighting that contains a factory-installed electrical cord with plug that does not require installation, wiring, or other modifications to the electrical wiring of a structure.”
